Days Of Confusion

What’s written on the whites of my eyes

Lost purpose in hollow disguise

The flickering light of yesterday’s dream that clings to me

A flame that takes the fate of the fallen far away

Sunlight washes the faded remains

Of the dream barely alive that flows in my veins

Lonely echoes of silence walk within these walls

As driftwood grows on empty shores

And when the days begin to blur

See the never through my eyes

Broken dreams can’t let this be

A search for truth that never ends

Hunger, the search for belonging

My way, but please don’t hate me

I know, the road ahead’s weary

Driven, ‘cos life couldn’t break me

Hunger, the search for belonging

My way, but please don’t hate me

I know, the road ahead’s weary

Can’t rest ‘till I find me
