And the new single will be………. ‘Feel For Me’

We’ve just got it confirmed that the single will be out on Feb 16^th in 2009. It’ll be available in all the usual download stores, Play, Amazon, eMusic, iTunes etc. etc. and loads more. This is the 3^rd single to be taken from ‘Cold Blooded Innocence’. The track listing is as follows:

16/12/08 – The Day I Stopped Caring Hits Radio

Well, it took a while, we weren’t sure if it was going to happen or not, but after a slow start, reports have just come in that The Day I Stopped Caring made its radio on V Dub, part of the Live 365 network, who are based in Washington DC.

16/12/08 – Tainted Still On Playlists

‘Tainted’ has reached a new high, now holding the record for highest number of radio stations to spin and most weeks in rotation of all of The Masked Musician singles. To date the track has been spun on 7 radio stations and has been on continuous rotation at KRFC radio in Colorado for a whopping 6 months!!!!!!

This substantially shatters the previous record of 7 weeks rotation play for the ‘Perfectionist Being’ single last year.

28/10/08 – Cold Blooded Innocence Hits Stores

And the day is finally upon us… The new album ‘Cold Blooded Innocence’ hit stores on Monday of this week. The new album featuring the singles ‘Tainted’ & ‘The Day I Stopped Caring’ can now be bought online in Play.com, Amazon.com, iTunes, Napster, 7 Digital, eMusic and many many more.

Shortly a limited number of CD pressings of ‘Cold Blooded Innocence’ and its predecessor ‘1.618’ will be available to buy exclusively through this website, watch this space…….

Its almost here! The new album ‘Cold Blooded Innocence’ will hit stores on November 24^th

18/09/08 – New Single ‘The Day I Stopped Caring’

The follow-up release to ‘Tainted’ has been confirmed. The next release will be another single titled ‘The Day I Stopped Caring’ which is more of a ballad than its hard-centred predecessor. The single will contain 3 tracks featuring both a radio edited version and a longer album version of its title track and a rare 2002 demo titled ‘And All Because The Lady Loves’.

The release will be available in all the usual major download stores from November 10^th. The tracklisting is as follows:

18/09/08 – ‘1.618’ Album Peaks In Play.com Metal Downloads Chart

Last year’s release ‘1.618’ hit its peak at No. 31 in Play.com’s Bestselling Metal Downloads Chart, ahead of releases by long established acts such as Motorhead and Judas Priest. The album is still hanging around in the chart and has been there for several weeks.

‘Tainted’ will be released as a digital download single on August 4^th and will be available to buy in iTunes, Napster, Amazon.com, 7 Digital, eMusic and many many more. It has been produced in both an edited radio version and as a full album track, both versions will be featured on the single.

12/05/08 – New Look Home Page

And we’re back…. After a little time away, the web pages haven’t been updated for a few months, that’s finally been corrected.

Yup, it’s finally here folks, just a little hint of the theme the cover art for the new album will be based on (it won’t be the same as this though).

As you may already be aware from reading previous posting on the site things are going a bit back to front for The Masked Musician at the moment! (for those who aren’t aware, see ‘about the Masked Musician section of this site). Last years ‘1.618’ album was the Masked Musician’s 2^nd album, but the first to be released commercially. This year will see the debut album ‘Cold Blooded Innocence’ get its first commercial release.

The 2008 version of CBI has been re-vamped and updated with 8 brand new re-recordings and also features 2 of the original 2002 recordings. The first single from the album ‘Tainted’ is on its way, details to follow.

The mixing of CBI was actually completed along with mastering earlier in 2008, but is oly just being announced due to delays in updating the website. Details of the new single to follow.
