16/11/06 – Distributors: An update

Tempest Eye Records, The Masked Musician’s label has recently been in communication with several distributors, both digital and physical. Whilst they have been distinctly unimpressed with what can only be described as the slack and lazy attitudes of most of the physical distributors contacted, they are currently negotiating a deal with an online distributor with a view to self distributing the physicals. Further details to follow.

13/10/06 – Cold Blooded Innocence Previews Added

For those of you interested in hearing more of the early material, preview clips for the debut album ‘Cold Blooded Innocence’ (2002) have just been added. These also include a ‘Cold Blooded Innocence Mixup’ in the same vein as the ‘1.618 Mixup’. Click here to find out more.

08/09/06 – Songs from 1.618 available for free download

3 new songs and a preview compilation track for the album “1.618” are available for free download by clicking here. The tracks are “Three Year Headache”, “Days Of Confusion” and “Nemesis”. There is also a selection of tracks from Cold Blooded Innocence as well. Tempest Eye Records, the label are currently approaching distributors in an attempt to secure a commercial release.

15/08/06 – Mixing completed on new album

Mixing has just been completed on the new album a total of 14 tracks have been mixed, 12 of which will appear on the album. “I wanted the album to be well produced, but also to have a raw edge and be very in your face, traditionally those things don’t go together so it was a bit of a balancing act, but I think we captured it quite nicely on the whole” said The Masked Musician.

14/03/06 - Progress Report on 2^nd album

Production on the new album in nearing completion, though a date is yet to be fixed a release is anticipated for the autumn of 2006. In the meantime some tracks will be hosted on download.com and myspace.com ahead of release. Watch this space.

19/02/06 – Album Title!

It has been confirmed this week that the forthcoming album from the Masked Musician will be titled ‘1.618’. “It has a hidden meaning that’s representative of life’s very fabric”, said the Masked Man. When asked to elaborate, he refused saying that it wouldn’t be a hidden meaning anymore if he did.
