Background Information

When "Cold Blooded Innocence" was originally conceived, its track sequence was very different to what the final version has ended up as. At this time The Masked Musician was jamming with a man called Phil Beavis and was based in Newcastle Upon Tyne. The listing included two tracks that Phil and his brother John had wrote called "Welcome Back to Life" and "Bleed for You", there was a third track they had wrote called "The Bitter End" which was not to be included. The Masked Musician also wrote a track with Phil provisionally titled "1984", the pair later parted company when band prospects didn't work out and none of the said songs were used.

There were also some early songs penned by The Masked Musician himself, but these were either scrapped or rewritten as he felt they were lacking. After the split with Phil, he began jamming sessions with Pete Hedley, a friend from University. There were earlier demos of some of the albums tracks recorded, but these were re-recorded as they were of poor technical quality due to learning to use recently acquired recording equipment.
